November 2007
Tulsa DUVCW members had gathered socks and chips, cookies and gum, tissue and toiletries – as many items as could fill three large boxes for active duty service men and women in Iraq. Sent to a soldier family member of one of the DUVCWs, the gifts had an immediate reception, then feedback by email:

November 20, I received both of your packages recently (one today & the other on Thursday), and everything went like wildfire! Thank you and all of your DUVCW ladies for all the good stuff. =-) I put the picture of your group by the box, that way everyone will see the smiling faces who put it all together. … November 21- Received yet another great care package full of all sorts of treats, like Pringles, Oreos, Star Crunch, and those tasty variety packs of crackers! = ) I came into work to find a group of people in my office studying for an upcoming exam, and they all attacked me as soon as they saw the box. Needless to say, it was all dispersed within minutes and greatly appreciated by all! Thanks again! Peace & Love, Billy J
