Wreaths Across America Ceremony in Enid, Oklahoma

On December 10, 2008, Glenda Golden, a DUVCW Member-At-Large, participated in
Wreaths Across America by laying wreaths at the graves of Veterans in an Enid, Oklahoma cemetery in conjunction with her Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Chapter. In all, 405 wreaths were laid including several Civil War Veterans and several Medal of Honor Recipients.

On December 8, 2008, Ms. Golden participated in the Oklahoma State Capital Wreath Ceremony in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Wreaths Across America began in 1992 with a trailer load of wreaths which were decorated by volunteers and laid at the graves of fallen soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery. The mission of the project is to Remember - Honor - and Teach the value of freedom in the world today.
